  • Community and Intercultural Education: The program features multi-month activities that promote community and intercultural education throughout secondary education.

Numbers

  • Participation in Europe: Over 7,000 students in around 20 European countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom), spanning both urban and rural regions, have participated since 2019.
  • Expansion to Africa: Over 2,500 students in around 10 African countries (Angola, Cameroon, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia) have joined the program since 2021.

Distinctions

  • Resources: Numerous successful cases, strategies, resources, and publications have been developed to create an interactive school environment that embraces democratic principles and local life.
  • Awards: The creator of the program received a 2019 Academy of Athens Award (Βραβείο Μιχαήλ Ν. Κοκολογιάννη) for a report on the philosophy education in Europe. In 2021, the creator received the Altiero Spinelli Prize for Outreach Award by the European Commission (video link), for the recognition of the concept and the impact of “Physiognomy at School” in Europe.
